I would not want to modify an engine that has had that much use on it...much of my modifications involve the piston and on an engine with that much use I would likely have to pinch the sleeve to ensure we get a good seal afterward...I alter the deck height of my engine and the position of the piston at TDC will change after modifications....So my concern is that if the engine is already broken in at the stock deck height it may not seal correctly at the altered deck height....When its brand new the piston will seat itself to the modified deck height with no issue...I would be willing to pinch the engine and modify it, but your dollar would be better spent on a brand new fresh engine...
