Default Short Course Challenge this sunday

First off Sorry for short notice

This sunday September 19th the first ever outdoor Short course challenge will be held at "the farm" in Wausau Wisconsin. Taking a step away form the formal oval and offroad racing this day will include races that not only challenge your driving skill but strategy as well.

Since this is just a fun day of racing No short course truck will be turned down and rules arent a big worry just having fun. classes will be made by attendance(the 3 classes that will try to be made are Stock,Mod and 4x4)

Racing will begin at 1:00

As of now here is the list of races to be included. All of these events are run on the oval.

Tire race- Each person pulls a tire ( suplly your own tire preferably a sct tire) that is tied to the rear bumper with a 2 foot long piece of marking tape. The object is to get the tire off the opponents trucks while still keeping yours attached.

Chain race- 2 trucks are connected back to front bumper with a rubber band and the object is to be the first team to finish a 10 to 20 lap race.

forward/backward race- In this race drivers must first go 2 laps around the track forward then 2 laps in reverse backwards around the track. Top finishers will advance to a feature race.

Flagpole race- there will be a flag pole placed in the middle of the track and every lap each driver must make a complete turn around the flag pole and continue the lap for 10 to 20 laps.

Figure 8 race-drivers must complete a 10 to 20 lap race on the converted figure 8 track.

Trailer race- This will be one of the wildest races ever because everyone is pulling a handmade cardboard or balsa wood trailer and the object is to knock the other drivers trailer off while still keeping your's on. (Anyone who wants to race build your own trailer it can be any size and made out of balsa wood or cardboard)

Any other ideas for a race will be welcomed

Entry fee will be 5 dollars.

There will be a scoring system for races that can be scored and it will all be for fun.

There is limited power so bring a generator or just charge of your car and bring a table and chair for your pit.

Once to Wausau take the hwy 29 west exit and drive 10 to 15 miles to marathon city. Take marathon city exit and turn right onto hwy 107 and drive north for around 4 miles. Turn right on evergreen (Gravel road) and drive less then 1 mile. track will be on your right look for signs.

Thanks, and i hope everyone can make it, it should be a blast!!!

Blaine
