Default Clay track building / maintaining

Hi,

Our club has a clay surface track. We need to bring clay to the location because the normal soil is loose dirt.

Our current surface is just clay with nothing added to it, and we use the dust we sweep off the track mixed with water to fill the holes. This all seems to work pretty well, but we need to get a new layer on the track because its wearing a bit thin in some spots.

I know some clubs / tracks use bonding agents to make the clay bleu-groove better and to make the clay harder so less holes get made in the surface.

Were not allowed to mix oil / diesel in to the clay, but I know some tracks are using things like salt / wood chips.

So my question is what are you using ( if anything ) and why that product ?

Thanks,
