Surprisingly, yes. A standard 17mm hex will fit. The only detail you will have to pay attention to is that the pin is a 3.0mm pin (larger than normal). Now you could simply get the 17mm hex and pin that go on CEN Matrix R2. Another option would be to get any 17mm hex, carefully drill out the hole in it to 3.0mm, and then take your old pin from the 23mm hex and cut it down so it's flush on the outsides of your new 17mm hex.

Then there you have it - access to a whole new, and much bigger, world of tires of different sizes, treads, etc.

I just got the new Pro-Line 40 Series Big Joes mounted on Tech 5 Monster Truck wheels. Very good craftsmanship put into building these tires, and they are 17mm!!
