i used to think the tmaxx was the best object in the world.

however when i finaly got conned into buying a savage i made some tests.

the 3.3 engine, bought 5, 3 died after 4 gallons. one blew a rod. and well the last i tested a rev test and blew it up

the nitro star 4.6, bought 6. first lasted me 8 gallons. next 4 lasted around 5-6- and once again the last one i blew up with a rev test.

the 3.3 engine, i found a piece of %^$^, with the nitro star not far behind it.

as for chassis. i consistently broke off the front end off the tmaxx. while i was bending TVPs.

arms etc. broke the tmaxx ones like i was running over them with a 10ton roller. the savage arms... just held everything never broke one.

turnbuckles, suck on the savage, OK on the tmaxx.

tranny, savage one walks all over the tmaxx one.
however tmaxx reverse is better.

stock tyres/wheels, the maxx ones are better.

shells: no difference... destroyed them all quickly.

diffs > tmaxx stock ones are OK. the savage ones... struggle to hold together. once you get bulletproof ones though they are better then the tmaxx.

bumpers & shock towers. savage ones are WAY better.

bulkhead braces. savage... unless you go alloy on the TMAXX.

shocks.... quality of hpis ones wernt the great but they worked the best. big bores by hpi just blew tmaxx ones out the window.

plastic quality... well TRAXXAS ones suck so much @$$.
hpis just bend and bend back.

alloy quality - traxxas i found to hold.

ratings : TMAXX 6/10 - SAVAGE 4.6+ 8/10. i would personally buy a LST2
