Well written explanation on the tuning of short versus long needle. You really make the long needle sound nice. I don't think I'll mind which I get after that. You should copy/paste that on the stickied tuning bible just as a reference for people.

Grizz I found that link you posted very informative thanks for directing me.

I would have considered the MG66 you suggested (Flanno) but I'm a family man and I really can't afford any luxury's. Just gotta get the most bang for my buck with some durability as well!

Your King Headz shoes will be fine. Alloy shoes with 3 x 1.1 springs is nice on the 5R in a truggy. This will give you plenty of launch. If it's too much for the track surface just drop to 3 x 1.0 springs.

I cut and pasted that tuning guide onto the last page of the "tuning bible section" for future reference.
