I would say the 086 might suit your needs. The 2072 on the GX-5R has stump pulling bottom end as well as good mid and top, but is not as economical as the 086. The 086 on the 5 Port will tend to smooth the bottom end a bit and enhance the top end, which will give you a smoother and wider overall powerband, plus added economy.
GX-5R with 086 in buggy = nice. GX-5R in truggy, I would tend to stay with the 2072 if you run tighter tracks. Open sweeping tracks go with the 086 in the truggy too.
