the weakest part of the Atomic/Spec-R drive shafts are the pins. if you replace them with XRay ECS pins or make your own using stock from a hobby store you should be good to go. The XRay items are pricey, but if you maintain them they will last for over a year--- at least that is as long as i've had them.
