I have both. Flash is way faster and starts again when hot. The Flash is a bit harder to tune, due to its insulated carb. I said harder, not impossible. The engine must be warm (atleast 3 minutes racing) before you can try and tune it.
If you do not like this, you can always use an old carb on it. I myself, love how the engine easily restarts even when arrives hot from the track after a flameout.
Everytime my Max engine came hot off the track, it would take no less than 30 seconds to restart it.
