Talking Sealed Bearings

I get the example re the shielded bearing.

I would think that the bearings have to be pretty on the mark in order to not allow the crank shaft from hitting the side walls of the engine.

Otherwise, I would imagine the space between block walls and the crank shaft have to be pretty tight.
