If you are talking about the brace from the rear bulkhead, it shouldn't break at all. If you are talking about the side belt tensioner area, the mount might have been dremmeled to create more motor clearance thus making it a bit too thin. The stock part would be stronger.
I'm talking about the side belt tensioner / upper deck mount. On my car it is aluminum and very thin. I searched online and found a "new" upper deck mount on Wolf Hobbies website.

Does anyone have a good starting point setup for 17.5, rubber tires on carpet for a small indoor track?
