The B4.1 kit really surprised me at how different it is from the B4 kits. It's really a re-designed car imo.
There's a couple things I REALLY don't like though.
One being the CVA's. You have to really work to get the shafts centered, if you don't then they'll vibrate like crazy likely ruing the hub bearing life. Kinda silly how much play you can get in them.
Second you gotta be really careful to only barely tighten the transmission case screws. The thread lock is a must here. The transmission spins really free until you put any torque on the screws. The cases plastic must be a LOT softer than previous ones, it's crazy how bad the tranny binds when any torque is applied to the screws. Not to mention my kit didn't come with thread lock, they really should.
Double check that all your bearings are fully seated in the case halves. Second, it could be the topshaft spacer. I had to go to B4 rear axle spacer and shim accordingly. I found the topshaft spacer is a tad too long and causes it to bind when tightening down.
