I have no idea what problems you guys are having with your 7 port engines, but mine screams. It has so much low end torque its hard to get traction and the high end is ridicoulus. I have a 3 port, 5 port (pos engine) and a 7 port and run the 7 port in my 8 2.0 buggy and the 3 port in my 8-t 2.0 truggy. Both engines are fantasic with the exception of the 5 port i had repinched, but i think that was due to carb issues and i have a new one on the way to resolve that.
