an equally modified FMS would have more on top end then the mod B5 without question...the FMS is basically a de-tuned onroad engine with the timing backed down a little... The FMS makes exceptional peak power numbers but they are made higher in the RPM range then a purpose built offroad engine like the B5...The B5 makes similar peak numbers, but it makes them about 4000 RPM earlier in the powerband....Not a knock against either engine, its just their characteristics.... IMO the FMS is a top end screamer but a little soft on bottom, the B5 is a torque monster with less top end then the FMS....
regardless I was just saying if i was running a FMS in a Truggy I would increase the compression the give it a bit more low end snap ( thats my tuning advice on it, take it for what it is)...After trying the FMS I felt it needed improvement in the low end, its top end is fantastic...if i were to modify the FMS it would be aimed at getting the engine into its powerband earlier... On the B5 I modify to extend the powerband deeper into the RPM range....
