What I'd worry about is letting it get real hot somewhere along the line. If you can fly it, I'd consider doing that, but, I'd put it in a big ziplock bag and put it in the refrigerator and let it sit at 35-40F until you get ready to leave. Then it'd go in a lipo sack and fly home with you. Refrigerating kind of puts the cells in a dormant state (this is great for long term storage), so they're less likey to have an event. When you get home, leave it out but keep it in the ziploc bag until its back to room temp so there's no condensation inside the lipo.
I would worry it could get very hot sitting somewhere if you just shipped it and exposure to enough heat could drive it over the edge and it'd go off in the back of somebody's delivery truck. My wifes incoming merchandise is shipped UPS for the big stuff and USPS for small stuff and we've gotten melted merchandise from either.
I don't order lipos at this time of the year cause I don't want them exposed to that kind of heat.
