Do you have any kind of low voltage protection for it in the box? It may have gotten overdischarged. Have you tried charging it? If it shows the slightest sign of getting bigger while charging, its not safe to use further and needs to be replaced.


I don't think its safe to ship, it may be safe to continue to use, but shipping it is another deal altogether. If it gets hot along the way, it may go off and start a fire.
