try the plug first but if the engine was ripping last week and now won't idle and you changed nothing give it a close once over for air leaks etc..these engines rarely need more than a tweak once set up properly so a sudden change is more likely to be something else.Mine was the nipples on the exhaust pressure line cooler had unscrewed..bugger to spot as it was only causing a tiny intermittent air leak.Nothing dramatic just motor not as snappy as it should be..fixed it and return of the rocketship
