I'd also like if I could swap out tires and it be able to drift. Here is the set up I was thinking about:

Car - HPI E10 assembled w/o the electronics (200mm chassis)

Electronics - Novak Havoc Brushless ESC/8.5T Ballistic Brushless Motor.

Batteries - Probably some Zippy or Turnigy 3 Cell Lipos

Would this do everything I am wanting?

About how fast do you guys think this would go?

Anything else I should know?
also, a TC4 with the old 'tub' chassis still handles well and is very durable. you could race it if you wanted. you would just need a spec battery (2cell), and a spec (17.5) motor might be best to get started.

a 3 cell battery is 50% voltage bump which means more speed, with an 8.5 you may have a handful. you might consider a 2cell and/or higher turn motor just to get used to it.
