The 7940, 7950 and new 7945 are the TOP of the line Hitec's. The 7955 is the tired and true Hitec that is super tough and super popular. The 7954 is a 7955 with steel gears to cut costs... nothing else. I personally say avoid the 7954. If that's the one you're liking, just get a 7955 and you'll have the same servo with better gears.

The 7954 is inferior to the same cost ACE 1015? I've been using ACE for the last 3 years, with a year on unreg LIPO, and just recently burned out 2 1313's, but the 1015's are still performing flawlessly (now running on LIFE).
Just considering my options, not looking for any ACE bashing, just want to know that I will get the same performance from an equally priced servo.
