Yeah I agree with you lol. I used a Nt1 rear diff, stock 38 tooth ball diff pulley. Its a pretty simple mod, just take your time, takes about 30 mins to make nice
Went to the track yesterday, Ran 6 or 7 packs through and my diff is still fine, hasnt leaked, and the two spider gears worked fine with a 4.5 and a huge rotor. I will have to abuse it for a few race days and see what happens, but I dont see anything to go wrong really. I also shimmed up my motor mount bulkheads like the Tamiya team has been doing, that worked great! Top deck has a 1mm shim under the screws and it didnt tweak. Good for high speed sweepers and all
I have about 150 hours on my NT1 gear diff with no issues at all.
Everyone keeps asking about if it has to be the front or rear NT1 diff, and you have to use the rear diff or you won't have enough material to mount the 38t modified diff gear.
