Instead of going to a 14 CB try a 48 spur gear. I bet that will give you a better balance of torque and speed. 50/14 = 3.57, 48/13 = 3.69, 50/13 = 3.84. The 48/13 is not quite as tall as the 50/14 but still taller than 50/13. Give it a shot.
well i do have a 48 tooth spur sitting around, allright il give the 48/13 than.
