The HPI tires are really really good. You just need to make sure you wash them well with soap and hot water before assembly to remove the mold release film on the rims and tires.

I used the green Scott pad to scuff the rim and cleaned with rubbing alcohol.
I used the thin CA from Losi or Proline to glue the tire and never come off.
