I was working on switching out my front diff case for a new one when I stripped the set screw holding that cup to the gear inside the case.
I need to get it off but I can't.

You can slot it but that will cause the ring gear to be unbalanced. The only way I can think of is to drill it out or use a very very tiny easyout. I think either way the diff case and or ring gear will be toast. Good luck
