I am glad to see it in use as when a car flips over for whatever reason, traction roll, movie stunt, whatever, the engine head is the first thing to get scratched... which is painfull if you spent a few hours rebuilding your new engine as you should... These just help releive the pain a little and protect the engine head\cooling fins.
Mine scratched because I cut the hole on top WAY too big
If its the size of the glow starter I dont think in any way it will scratch unless your body tears open or cracks big time.
