If you use the “factory setting “ of 3.5 turns out as a base line, it is a long way from flush! Is a “race tune” that far from the “factory setting” of 3.5? Every time I try to lean out the HSN that much, the temps shoot up. I have never gotten close to a HSN of flush. Granted, the engine is still fairly new. Maybe close to 2 gallons at the most. There is still a slight mechanical pinch. I use Byron’s 25%, O’Donnell T98 plug, and a 6.5 card insert. You thoughts would be appreciated! Maybe I am just over analyzing things!
factory settings and race settings are nothing close to each other

a good starting point if you get the carb out of whack with most pipe combos is 4.25 on lsn and 3.5 on hsn , approx. 1 full turn open from just closed on the idle gap . for the plus 4 engine and long needle carb
