X-mods put everyone on a level playing field. We all had to deal with the lack of response from the crappy radios. We were all handicapped the same.
Htown Xmods was probably the longest running group of x-mod racers ever.
We ran on 3' lanes with a 30' x 16' layout. Changed tracks every week and in between, ran in my rec room on a 12' x16' roadcourse with 2' lanes.
I still feel that X-mods gave you 90% of the fun for 10% of the cost.
I hear you with the crappy radios....

I like the idea of being on a level playing field but where im from its all about going/being fast....We have guys putting $400 into a mini z....they drive like they are on rails at speeds of 30mph....
When they run the stock class it is like watching paint dry.....
