When the pin is pushing the flyweight the clutch will be more agressive and in combination with a large gap a very high engage point is possible.

When the pin is pulling the flyweight you will have a more smoother (more slip control) clutch but higher engage points is more difficult to get.

I always mount them pushed py the pins.
