Yes a .15 pipe will work on a .12 engine. If you use the .15 manifold you will have to change the rubber gasket on the engine, but that is no big deal!
If the 50220 is the non in-line version of the 51223 (which I have)- they look the same!, then the mid to top end will be crazy fast when used with the .15 manifold. The low end can be a little sluggish though! Most suited to larger tracks. I have yet to try the combination of a .12 manfold with this .15 pipe, but I imagine it should help with the low end torque.
