I understand that most mag rc car reviews end up being a advertisement, similar in moto-x bike world. The benefit of moto-x bike shootouts is that they allow you to glean certain trends or observations as well as get ride reviews from different levels of riders. I think the same can be done by having various levels of rc drivers. So one 1/8th might be good for newbies and another may be good for experts.

The shootouts would need to have all cars use the same engine, same tires, and be on the same track. Set-ups would be out of the box and tested. And then the reviewers can do set-up changes to see if the car gets better for them.

I understand there is a lot of good feedback in these forums and that is why i come here. It is just hard to sift through in a summary format since some car threads are over 400 pages long. I end up doing a search for topics that interest me but sometimes those keywords are not used.

Just some thoughts and feedback. Thanks for others who have shared.
