The OD purple plugs are good and they're inexpinsive so you can use one for qualifiers and another for mains to help eliminate potential flame outs. I only use turbo head and plugs now but when I ran standard heads OD purple and Mccoy 8 were ideal.
In short you won't have a problem with the Purple OD plugs.
