Default 1/12th scale at Trackside

So, is anyone thinking of running? I'd love to see this be a regular thing on Tues. night and I would most certainly run, even if I have to run my old 12L or one of the 3 other 1/12th scale cars I have until I can afford some new stuff...

A couple things that I'm wondering about though...

Why 19 turn, does anyone know the reasoning behind this? Scotty, I'm not sure how often you check these message boards and I'm wondering why not just a stock class?

Also, why 5 minute races? One of the best parts of 1/12th scale was always how long the races were, if you made a mistake you had a good amount of time to catch up if you had the better line and the faster setup. 10 or 15 years ago it was a pain with batteries, but it seems with these new cells making 8 minutes wouldn't be a problem.

Because of the 5 minute races won't people just overgear and it will become who can handle the most insanely fast car. I know with TCs this isn't a problem because of how important torque is, and how much strain it puts on the motor. But with the minimal drivetrain lose and minimal rolling resitance of a 1/12th scale car it doesn't seem like torque will be much of a concern. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time

Also, what are the chances of Trackside ever having a tiretruer or two for everyone to use? It seems like this would help people be willing to give 1/12th scale a shot. Even if Trackside doesn't want to foot the bill, what about a collection cup. I know I would have no problem tossing at least a couple bucks in a jar every week in order for this to happen. It would also be something guys that want to run foam in TCs could use.
