Ideally, you would want to use dry graphite grease on all moving parts except the thrust bearings. For thrust bearing and the diff balls, I use the Mugen Super Grease. For the middle shaft and the 2 speed layshaft, I dab a drop of silicone shock oil where the bearing rubs on the shafts.

I've tried using silicone shock oil with success. Now I'm trying out the Serpent Bearing Lube 1682 as per the mytsn tip.
