1st question: Is AE & Losi diff oil the same in viscosity?
Maybe and maybe no

So you're saying that AE & Losi diff oils 1000 = 1000cst and so on..
Similar or close.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Each have their specifications. It depends where they got their oil from.
As manufacturers in America is different from Europe/Asia.
Some get it barrel stock from manufacturer and repack them and some will reblend them into their own specs.

It will be difficult to say this oil is better than the other. It is just preference/brand loyalty/brand which you are comfortable with.

Basically all oil is similar/nearly the same. But viscosity plays a important part.

We all don't know which is which. XX brand might be 400 but in fact it could be 500. As many do find it is thicker than YY brand and it is better. Not necessarily. As viscosity is different.

So it is important do stick with one brand in the long term and many do have problem with availability and decided to use XX ( front ) and YY ( Rear ) which is not recommended as the viscosity might be different which varies from brand to brand.
