Sounds ok to me. I have a thought, try dropping the radio when starting it up (no throttling while starting) and turn the idle screw a half turn out (the engine might be getting too much air at idle, who knows) and turn the low speed needle 1/8 turn out.
My guess is that it's getting too much air and not so much fuel (too lean) so impossible to start.
