For anyone looking for more consistent braking using the stock brake pads, here's a cheap easy mod I did to my pads while being bored lol. You just cut material allowing you to use springs that separate the pads from each other after braking. this will reduce the friction created from the disk rubbing on the pads, and your pads will also last longer...
Pictured are the soft 2speed springs for the NT1, which are the correct length but are just too hard for this operation. the O'donnell brake springs for their ZO1 buggy Is what worked out for me.

Use 2 of the springs on each side, 4 come in the pack.
