Yes, the tie rod you circled in your picture is shorter on mine than it is in your pic. The upper arm is connected to the INNER hole in the hub though as opposed to your picture where it is connected to the outer hole. I tried connecting to the outer hole, but I couldn't lean the hub inward far enough as it hits the lower arm and doesn't let me lean it inward further.
I have the manual and compared it to what the manual says and it looks to be correct. The manual even shows using the inner hole in the hub. I'll try to look again to see if everything's correct, but more ideas/suggestions are appreciated in the meantime.
