I say check your endpoints because you shouldn't be going through throttle horns. I haven't had one fail in the time I have been running the losi vehicles(quite a while now. Basically since they came out.)
it's not that the servo horn actually failed. It's that the hole where the throttle linkage fits into the servo horn gets a little sloppy. It hasn't broken through as of yet and I would imagine it would take a while, but they do get sloppy.
