As neither country of domcile not actual ftrequencies of the transmitter and receiver are mentioned, it is difficult to give a good answer.
1. If TX & RX are say 41 or 72 Mhz, then the 35 Mhz crystals will not be compatible.
2. If both TX & RX are labelled for the 35 Mhz band, then if the receiver crystal has a blue tip, it is dual conversion and will not operate your single conversion 5ch receiver.
