Not to put any pressure on you, but if I don't get at least 5 out of the B5 I'm going to cut my nitro career short, and retire from rc's. It's killing my wallet and the wife is going to kill me if I have to buy another engine in a month or so.
Any advice you can give on engine maintance and upkeep would be great. I really want to get the most out of this engine.
And do you know of any threads that have some clutch or gearing setups to use with the B5?
By the way, I'll be running it in an RC8.
Underway is right, one of the biggest things is take care of the air filter, run a little rich to be safe and as far as clutch is concerned the B5 has a lot of torque so it's pretty easy on clutch choices. I'd start with aluminum shoes and 1.0 springs. That should get you in the ballpark and then I would just fine tune the clutch set up to your driving style/track condition.
