The EVO II is shaft driven and most of the chassis is based on the Tamiya Nitro Car, the TG10. Therefore it should be able to withstand anything you put into it. The ball diffs are made entirely out of metal except for the ring gear. I think that the EVO II is a great car, especially if you are going to drive it around where there are a lot of leaves and debris to stuff up your belts. Just keep an eye on crap getting in the teeth of the spur or pinion. It is quite easy to wreck them if they get a little stone or anything like that in them.
