Even on my road car, if I feel the front wants to understeer in a corner I apply a little more power, this pulls it through the corner and actually makes thecorner feel less tight. Same logic applies to these little FWD cars, you brake coming in to a corner whilst straight, and as soon as you feel the car is turning you apply the power (smoothly) and it will corner like on rails.
That driving characteristic is referred to as "tuck in"?
