does it matter where the piston is while I screw? should hold it down? or push it up slowly?

I guess, what I have not been doing it letting it sit for anytime. I usually have filled them, and stoked the air out and caped them. No wait time. and yes my shock do have tiny bubbles when i cap them. maybe that is the problem.

what do you think?
