This was fine to do if any of the other cells were not over charged during that process. Once you connected the balancer the charger should stop if any cell goes too high. Even after you connect the balancer, if the one cell is very low, it may not be able to charge fast enough before the other cells reach full. The balancer only draws 300mA from the stronger cells. You will want to set the charger to Balance Charge mode, at 0.3A or less, and monitor cell voltage to ensure none of them go over 4.2V.
