I have to agree w/ cannon. I'm trying to convince everyone at our track that Silvercans are not the way to go. I had to dig out of my junk drawer an ESC that would run a brushed motor for my M-05 pro. Plus there's too much variation from one motor to the next. Depending on which of the three motors I use my lap time vary by nearly a full second. I'm trying to get everyone to switch to the Hobbywing 13T system like the guys down under. If not I'll be investing in some red dot motors just to prove my point.
won't disagree with either of you...but until Tamiya USA changes their rules for the mini class, most if not all tracks won't adopt a new motor format for the class...Because nothing sucks more then class rules that vary from track-to-track - BL at my track, but silver cans at the track 40 minutes away - only thing that will do is kill the class...
so everyone in the USA and Canada needs to put some pressure on the Tamiya guys to change over to a new power plant

and then you'll see a lot more tracks going BL in mini
BTW, i know this has been asked before, but anyone got a link to the hobbywing setup in the USA?
