Just to throw fuel into the fire......

I talked with two Associated "employees" over the weekend that told me about the new 1/12 car:

Going to use IRS large "D" diff ring axel, BUT.....Associated has decided to make there own hub. Not sure why, if there going to outsource to IRS for there excellent axel, wouldn't they outsource there excellent hubs too. I found that odd and asked why? Just got a shoulder shrug......

Batteries to be oriented logways, instead of the L3 sideways.

Front end to have the adjustable caster at 0,5, and 10 degree options.

Two chassis thickness available, one for carpet and one for asphalt.

Sounds like a good car! Associated is just a few miles from my local track. There is no carpet racing here, but I'm hoping to get to try one of the prototypes on the asphalt here at SoCal.. If I do, you'll be the first to hear!!!
