I could have, Il just stick another one on there and see, I also think Im going to have to change bearings. When I pulled the engine off of my buggy I noticed where dirt was stuck to the chassis plate under front of engine and also on the sides behind the flywheel but its still holding a good tune with no signs of an air leak wouldnt a bad bearing cause an air leak
