If it is the latest and great E-Revo (with 2.5gHz and batteries) then that is a great price. I got mine locally for $669.99 plus tax. I only got that deal because the owner quoted me the old versions price.
Regarding the C rating of batteries: A high quality battery will back up their C rating with quality wire. A high discharge rate is useless traveling through low gauge wire. For 40C and up battery packs, you need a minimum of 12 gauge wire. A quality battery pack will have two C numbers; the continuous C rating (low number) and peak C rating (high number / normally double the low). The peak C rating is normally a 3 second burst.
