I've got 4 venom 2s 7.4 5000 mahs with 20c hard packs. Kinda lime green color. A main has them on for about $45 each. I suggest you get at least 4 to start. This way you have backups and don't have to wait to charge-up before continuing to play. The 2x 2s for the e-revo is plenty fast. Truck goes about 55 out of the box with these batteries. Any faster is really hard to handle. You could go up to 2 x 3s for insane power, but would probably break the car in two if you crashed. These batteries also come with traxxas, deans, and tamiya adapter plugs so you can run anything without having to solder.
In regards to the venom procharger, not sure what the pro model has that's different. It's only $10 more, you might as well get it.
