My suggestion.. unless you have a large MT class, stop spending money and get a truggy and convert it.. ASAP 8ight-t or even the AE truggy.

with that said...

#1 doing the slayden steering mods (easy and free)
#2 RPM truetracks for the rear
#3 red push rods, and front turnbuckles (no rear needed w/ true tracks)
#4 Blue rear spring 60wt oils, White front spring 70wt oils
#5 sway bars (I like the tekno on the front and traxxas rears but all are fine
#6 single JR or simlar servo (~300oz) and I'd get a aluminum arm (proline is great)
#7 grub screws on your front steering ball caps so they don't back out during races
#8 center diff is a good upgrade racing

Last but not least are good truggy tires for your track, 17mm with 1/2" offset LPR's or simlar racing tires. Look at the fast drivers tires before buying.

I wouldn't run the RPM front arms unless you are new to racing and crash a lot, as they are a little too flexable.. BUT NEVER buy the RPM front knuckles... they are way too soft and the balls pop out left and right racing. I would keep a spare set of front a-arms and a set of traxxas knuckles in the tool box ready to swap out if needed.
