Why?
Do they support us?
for example..Why pay $40-50 a set of 1/10 touring rubbers when you can get 2 sets for the same price from Hong Kong..as well as the USA.....
And not to mention Spares?
The only place in Aus who is trying to make a difference is HE international...he relises that internet shopping is BIG..and he prices accordanly....So why not the rest?
I for one will not pay the insurance for the shop owners "flash" sports car?
And..Give the guy a break..He was ripped, And frustrated, why do you guys think he posted his comment..
To all you no-life, computer warriors. and wanna be racers..GO-F$%K your selves... I suppose you all are football supporters as well who thinks Simon Cousins is the "man"...
I agree 100% with your comments. I know that my local club is supported by 3 hobby stores all of who have their "regular" customers that get the best possible service, price, and attention at all times.
People have to understand that if you want the convenience of some advice, some assistance, some local knowledge ..IT'S GOING TO COST YOU A LITTLE MORE AT THE CASH REGISTER.....Gues what , it's worth it.
Does Mr..Who-Flung-Dung somewhere in china help you on race day with repairs, or tuning, or spares (that you can pay for next time you are in the store)? .NO. Does he say G'Day and pass some time talking BS about who was fastest, and the biff-n-barg that occured in the previous race? NO.
Wake up to yourselves you precious little primadonas....

Next time you struggle at your local track, think about the LHS owner as you cry into your mocha-soy-chai-latte you purchased with the money you saved from buy all your gear from Mr.Dung or his chinese cousins etc.
So much food for thought it oughtta be called a banquet..
